Apparently it’s been the worst January for the Retail Sector since records began. Shops are shutting. Market Halls empty. Really bad news.
But, whaddya expect? Who can go out shopping when there’s a foot (or more) of snow all over the place – which turns to NEAT ICE on every street corner after 24 hours of tyres sliding across it!
And most folk, just after Chrissy, are totally skint and up to follicles with credit-card debt.
Well, apparently these are the primary ‘reasons’ ( spouted by most main-stream political and financial pundits) for January Retail Recession.
I’ll add another:
There are very few Car-Boot-Sales at this time of year!
